As a South African native, born and raised in Cape Town, Eddie is no stranger to the struggles the students face on a daily basis. He left law school and went into missions spending a year in Mozambique planting churches in unreached people groups. He is fluent in Afrikaans, English and Portuguese and has served in many countries including Egypt, Zimbabwe, Hong Kong, China and the USA. During his time overseas Eddie developed many skills that he will pass on to the students including welding, a love of music and academics. Eddie looks forward to watching people in the Cape Flats find hope through education, skills and a deeper relationship with God.

Kathryn King is the perfect choice for our compassionate coordinator because of her deep connection with life! She has her masters degree in social work and has had a private practice for over 30 years in the US. She currently serves as a counselor for individuals and couples and leads a number of women’s groups for women who want to go deep psychologically and spiritually.
Kathryn enjoys having deep and meaningful relationships with the people in her life; she loves seeing who people really are. She fell in love with our students and the open hearts she experienced here while visiting our school. She offers our organization prayer support, practical help as needed, and occasionally a shoulder to cry on. Don’t be surprised if she sends you a thank you note one day!
